If you have never been to a Park Board meeting, please come attend and see what new developments are unfolding as well as give input on current park issues. Park Board meetings take place the second Monday of every month on the 3rd floor of City Hall.
Back by popular demand in 2013 is our Party on the Patio concert series at Tierra Verde Golf Club! Put these dates on your calendar, as you won’t want to miss this year’s lineup. We are sure that this will be a memorable evening for the entire family, filled with food & drink specials and lots of fun!
The summer concert series feature live music by local Dallas-Fort Worth bands. In a family friendly environment, you can enjoy dinner and the band while the sun goes down. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs for your added comfort.
Cover charges are $7 for this year’s events. Children 17 and under are admitted free. Several options are prepared by Ventana Grille for dinner so come hungry! Food line opens at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 7 p.m.

Join the competition and camaraderie of River Legacy Foundation’s 4th annual Sporting Clay Shoot at Rock Creek Clays at Beaumont Ranch. The event benefitting River Legacy Foundation will feature 100 rounds of clays, shells, lunch, drinks, awards ceremony, and live auction. Featured activities include a pumpkin patch, karaoke, face painting, storytelling under the stars, animal encounters, balloon artists, and so much more! Park in River Legacy Parks and catch a hayride shuttle to event entrance. To learn more, visit www.riverlegacy.org. All proceeds from After Dark in the Park benefit River Legacy Living Science Center’s environmental education programs.

Founded in 2008 by Katie Brown, who lost her father to lung cancer, this walk is the first event in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex to raise awareness of lung cancer and funding for lung cancer research.
Breathe Deep DFW is a walk/fun run with your choice of a 1.2-mile or 5K path. Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for lung cancer survivors/patients, and $10 for youth (13 or under).
