Now Accepting Nominations for MLK “Sharing the Dream” Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Arlington Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Sharing the Dream” Awards.  This annual program is open to all Arlington residents, businesses, groups, schools and churches who are making a positive impact in our community.  This awards program includes three categories: Education, Government and Community.

Some past award winners have included Former Mayor Elzie Odom, Dr. Theron Bowman, Former AISD Superintendent Mac Bernd and members of the Arlington Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.  Dr. King’s dream of peace, harmony and equality lives on today. Nominate someone.  Click here.

Nominations will close Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. Winners will be announced and formally presented during the MLK “Sharing the Dream” Awards Banquet on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at UT Arlington.
