Volunteer of the Month – Kieu Phan, Animal Services

Kieu Phan has been volunteering with the Animal Shelter since October 2011.  Known for her quiet, pleasant personality,  Kieu’s willingness to help has earned her the title of Volunteer of the Month.

According to Arlington Animal Services, Kieu always comes in with a smile on her face and is instrumental in helping with the daily activities of the Animal Shelter.   Kieu goes above and beyond the call of her volunteer activities, she often assists staff with washing dishes in the dog area and cleaning kennels when needed.

“I like helping Arlington Animal Services because you can interact with many different cats and dogs, as well as people,”  Phan said.

The staff really enjoys her coming in and contributing to the success of the Animal Shelter.

“I have met many great and friendly people during my time here and they make volunteering here worth the effort,” she continues. ”I think that the best part of volunteering is the feeling that you’re helping out the animals and your community.”

The City of Arlington and the Animal Shelter would like to thank Kieu Phan for donating her time as a volunteer and becoming a part of the Arlington Animal Services team!
